Such an exciting 2019!

On this Giving Tuesday, we hope that you will keep Black Nonbelievers in your heart and mind. We’ve done so many exciting events, and had so many successes, this year that we’ve been overjoyed to share them with you.

Women of Color Beyond Belief just wrapped up, and we already announced next year’s event on September 25-27, 2020 in Chicago! Not only did we have an amazing first outing in 2019, we also led a service project that packed 11,232 meals for those suffering from food insecurity.

We hope you can join us next year, either as a veteran or as a new attendee. Register now right here, or bookmark the page to stay up to date on all the latest announcements.

This year’s SeaCon was also wild beyond belief. Not only was the ship, the Carnival Horizon, bigger this year, but we had so many more attendees, speakers, and events that it blew our minds. We were able to visit Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, and Cozumel, Mexico; we even went to Hell on Grand Cayman!

If you couldn’t make it this year, we really hope to see you in the future! We’re already planning to hold this fantastic, inspiring event again and we want you to be part of it. This time, we will embark on a 7-night outing aboard the Carnival Magic. On November 14-21, we want you to join us for a return to all the fun; check out more information here!

In October, the Black Nonbelievers of DC collaborated with the Freedom From Religion Foundation and Interfaith Alliance in order to lobby the US House of Representatives in support of the Do No Harm Act (HR 1450)! They met with many representatives, and even gained several new signatures for the legislation. They are doing powerful, important work and we could not be more proud of their efforts.

Please consider a gift in support of Black Nonbelievers as we lead the charge for a more equitable and just society.

I am also very excited to announce that our newest chapter is now formed in Columbus, Ohio! Find them on Meetup; we cannot wait to see what great things they will get up to in the near future in Columbus.
