What an Exhilarating Year!

BN’s Year in Review

Hello Everyone!

2019 was one of the most exhilarating in our 9-year history. We broke quite a bit of ground and expanded our reach across the country with our many outreach initiatives. It is all thanks to your support that we can continue our work!

Here are some of the highlights from last year:

  • Established our Columbus, OH, New Orleans, LA and Richmond, VA affiliates
  • Met with Pew Research to consult on a new survey about religion in the Black community
  • Featured on Christian AND Freethought media outlets
  • Participated in the Secular Week of Action
  • Lobbied in Washington, D.C. with the Secular Coalition for America, and other partner organizations
  • Represented the nonreligious perspective at interfaith symposiums on religious freedom in the African American community
  • Women of Color Beyond Belief Conference in Chicago, IL, co presented with Black Skeptics Los Angeles and the Women’s Leadership Project.
  • BN SeaCon 2019
  • Collaborated with partner organizations on secular holiday events

2020 has already been off to an exciting start. From participating in MLK Celebration events to co-signing a Supreme Court Amicus brief along with American Atheists, Center for Inquiry, and Ex-Muslims of North America, we are getting ready for another busy, yet productive year. But we can’t do this without you, so please consider a tax-deductible contribution today.

Thank you all once again for making 2019 such a wonderful year, and here’s to 2020 and beyond!!!

Sincerely,
