Greetings!
I hope you all had a great summer. Despite the ongoing aftermath of the recent reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision by the United States Supreme Court, and other egregious displays of Christian Nationalism, we are standing strong, making our voices heard, and fighting back.
I would like to once again thank everyone who supported our summer fundraising drive in July. Your contributions always go a long way toward continuing our outreach, community building, and liberation work.
As we prepare for the fall season, I hope that you will attend and support the Women of Color Beyond Belief conference if you haven’t already. Taking place from September 30th to October 2nd in Chicago AND online, we have also added the Secure the Bag service project, which will feed thousands of people in the Greater Chicago area. Conference registration is not required, but is strongly encouraged, and we hope that you join us and GO Humanity in this effort.
Also approaching is my 46th birthday, on September 4th. If you didn’t get a chance to donate this summer, I certainly hope that you will support BN’s work in honor of this occasion. It is such an honor to be celebrating another year of life, and doing what is now my life’s work, especially with each and every one of you.

On October 2nd, Black Nonbelievers and GO Humanity will be hosting Secure the Bag 2 as part of the annual Women of Color Beyond Belief conference. This is an open service event, in which we’ll work together in an assembly line to pack meals from bulk ingredients. All meals will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository to thousands of people.
