
Deana Williams (She/He/They) is a quirky queer writer and director who makes films that explore BIPOC LGBTQ lives. Deana works to highlight experiences that begin in the dark and end in triumph. Deana received her bachelor’s degree in filmmaking from The Art Institute’s Miami International University of Art & Design and is in the process of completing a master’s degree from Full Sail University in Entertainment Business.
Deana has directed award winning short films such as Tracks and Torn that have been selected in over 20 film festivals world wide. Deana is also the co-creator of Name Dropping, the frustratingly fun movie card game.
Deana identifies as a humanist and atheist, and is passionate about secular visibility. Deana is a board member for Black Nonbelievers, Inc. and resides in Greensboro, North Carolina.
