Community Matters: Get Out and Vote TODAY!

Greetings!

First, I would like to extend my warmest welcome and thanks to all of you for a great summer and fall this year. Whether we met for the first time, or saw each other again, it is always a pleasure – and for me personally, an honor. You have all made BN’s 15th anniversary year (and my 50th birthday in September) truly special.

Today however, is a VERY important day. And it involves exercising your civic opportunity to VOTE.

Many of you may have participated in early voting process, and we thank you for doing so. But voting on Election Day is still very crucial, and we know that there are some serious stakes in 2026.

Our values as secular voters means protecting the rights of LGBTQ+, nonreligious, POC and other marginalized folks. We must continue to fight for and support each other in the face of weaponized Christian Nationalism. So if you have not already voted in this general election, today is the day to make your voice and actions count.

In the immortal words of the late civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, “Nobody’s Free until EVERYBODY’s Free”.  Let us do the duty that many have sacrificed to ensure that we have the opportunities to vote, as well as run for public office TODAY.

Get Up. Get Out. Vote. Support your Communities. Thank you.

Sincerely,
