
Tina Marshall (she/her/hers) is the leader for BN’s Charlotte affiliate. A native of Sacramento, CA, she lived and worked in San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY until settling down in Charlotte, NC. There, she was a founding member of Sunday Assembly Charlotte, and in 2015, established the Charlotte affiliate of Black Nonbelievers.
Tina is also the founder of the Black Abortion Defense League, a strong voice for reproductive justice providing support for many young women in the state of North Carolina and beyond. She was the recipient of the 2020 Heart of Humanism award, presented by GO Humanity (formerly Foundation Beyond Belief).
