How do you celebrate the season?
As we come to the end of another journey around the sun, atheists, agnostics, humanists, and all nonreligious will celebrate the holidays with family and friends. We’ll enjoy our favorite traditions and make the holidays our own by adding clever secular twists to old ideas.
Join Black Nonbelievers, and other Secular Coalition for America member organizations, in our #MySecularHoliday campaign highlighting the wide variety of ways that nontheists celebrate the holidays. We’ll be collecting and sharing stories about how secular people celebrate the holidays and what this time of year means to them.
Our goal is to spread the word about the fun, festive, and creative ways that secular people come together to spend time with loved ones. The holidays are an occasion for people to come together, not be divided along religious lines. Instead of falling for the religious right’s contrived “War on Christmas,” let’s use this opportunity to shine a light on our community and spread some holiday cheer.
Give the gift of visibility to the secular community by sharing your story: Tell us how you celebrate the holidays as a nontheist by using the hashtag #MySecularHoliday across all social media channels.
Whether you’re a person of faith or no faith, holiday cheer is for everyone. Whatever your reason for the season, we hope it’s a merry one!
