Black History Month 2023

Greetings!

Black Nonbelievers is proud to celebrate Black History Month in 2023. And we are especially proud of the contributions that Black atheists, freethinkers and humanists have made to our communities and the world.

If you would like to learn more about the lives and work of these iconic figures, we highly recommend “Black Freethinkers: A History of African American Secularism” by Christopher Cameron. Also, check out more contemporary Black atheist and humanist activists through the recommended resources on our website.

As we mark 12 years in existence, at BN, we will continue uplifting Black Nonreligious voices and work. And we encourage all of you to learn about and celebrate Black history. February is a starting point for this education that is important EVERYDAY.

Please stay tuned as we celebrate Black History Month this year and beyond. And join us in welcome the city of Philadelphia, PA to the BN affiliate family. If you live in the area or ever plan to visit, please check out their group

Celebrate, Educate, and most important, LIBERATE!

Sincerely,
